Kim Kardashian parties about July 4th with life partner Kris Humphries' household in Minnesota

As her wedding to Kris Humphries rapidly approaches, Kim Kardashian is spending some quality time with her future in-laws. The reality star, 30, who is set to marry the NBA player at the end of this summer, celebrated the Fourth of July with her future hubby's family and friends in his native Minnesota.

According to Humphries, Kardashian had some reservations about not spending the holiday with her family, who most often times stick together during holidays. "How do I convince KimKardashian that minnesota is better than L.A.?" he wrote on Twitter before the weekend. 

 

But, it looks like Kardashian was happy with her decision to spend time in the North Star State, tweeting, "Kind of obsessed with Lake Minnetonka! Boats & O's!!!," alongside a picture Humphries took of her behind the wheel of a boat.

Humphries also tweeted a photo of the E! reality star jet skiing on the lake with the caption, "Look at KimKardashian tearing up the lake!"Kardashian, who spent time with Humphries' older sister Kaela this past weekend, compared the atmosphere on the lake to one of her favorite party spots.  

 

"It's like Vegas on the lake over here!" she tweeted. Humphries proposed to the reality star in May with a reported $2 million custom-designed 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring. The couple's wedding will be televised on E! in a two-hour long special.
