"I don't think it's really realistic to be able to have a really expensive, name-brand designers as every piece in your wardrobe," Kim told People magazine. "We'll mix a little Kardashian Kollection blazer with some cute jeans, and maybe a nicer top. But it's all about mixing and matching."
Kim's sister Kourtney is in complete agreement. Comfort, class and affordability are high on her list when choosing her day's ensemble.
"That's what I'm doing today - Sears with something expensive," Kourtney said while pointing to her designer pumps. "But I also love our Kardashian Kollection shoes; they're beyond comfortable. I'll wear those with a little bit more expensive dress."
Kim says it was very important for the collection to represent women of all body shapes and sizes. The raven-haired beauty loves designing with her sisters because it means they have a varied input into the designing process.
"We see pieces, and we think, 'Oh my gosh, I love this, but I wish that it was like this,'" she said. "We have to get everything tailored, so in this collection, we wanted to make sure that you didn't have to tailor anything. It was the exact way we like it - from the fabrics being very comfortable and stretchy to fitting all of our body types."
The Kardashian Kollection is available at Sears stores across America. The collection currently sells womenswear, accessories and shoes but will expand to denim and loungewear later this autumn. Home accessories will be added to the line in January.
